A health worker is arrested by Gujarat ATS for providing Pakistani spy with BSF and Navy information.
Sahdevsinh Gohil, a contract health worker from Kutch, was arrested by Gujarat for allegedly giving a Pakistani spy confidential information regarding the BSF and Indian Navy establishment. After being hired by the agency in June 2023, Gohil exchanged pictures and videos on WhatsApp in exchange for cash. Additionally, he gives the agent a SIM card that is linked to his Adhar card.
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat anti-terrorist squad (ATS) personnel announced on Saturday that they had detained a contract health worker from Kutch for allegedly disclosing private information regarding Indian navy and BSF establishments to a Pakistani spy.
Sahdevsinh Gohil, 28, was recognized as the culprit and detained in the taluka of Lakpat. An ATS statement claims that Gohil was "enticed to share information about underconstruction and existing military establishments by a Pakistani agent posing as Aditi Bharadwaj."
According to SP (ATS) K Siddharth, "Gohil, a resident of Lakhpat, has been sharing photos and videos of BSF and naval facilities in Kutch via WhatsApp with the Pakistani spy for money." He added that in June 2023, the Pakistani agent became friends with Gohil after reaching out to him on WhatsApp. Gohil was a contract health worker at a government center in the village of Mata No Madh.
