More than 3,800 occupants were safely evacuated after a major fire that started in the early hours of Saturday in a 67-story residential building in Dubai Marina prompted a tremendous rescue response. Authorities reported that the fire that burned Marina Pinnacle, popularly known as Tiger Tower, did not result in any casualties or injuries.
The Khaleej Times reports that Dubai Civil Defense teams put in six hours of nonstop effort to contain the fire. All 3,820 people of the high-rise's 764 flats were successfully evacuated by specialized firefighting and rescue units, guaranteeing that each person was escorted out safely. Early on Saturday morning, the Dubai Media Office (DMO) said that the evacuation had been carried out without any problems.
